Helen Adams agent, Sara White, wife of former NFL great, Reggie White, honored her husband at the 2006 Pro
Football Hall of Fame induction in Canton, Ohio on August 5. Sara and her children accepted the award on behalf of Reggie, who died on December 26, 2004 at the age of 43.

Reggie, an ordained minister who was nicknamed "The Minister of Defense", played as one of the finest defensive lineman in NFL history- from 1985-1992 for the Philadelphia Eagles, 1993-98 for the Green Bay Packers and in 2000 for the Carolina Panthers.

In August, at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio, Sara and her son, Jeremy, gave an eloquent acceptance speech which was broadcast nationally on ESPN. Sara's daughter, Jecolia sang the national anthem.

Five other NFL legends were also enshrined at the 2006 Pro Hall of Fame, including Troy Aikman, John Madden, Warren Moon, Harry Carson and Rayfield Wright. More than 70 Hall of Fame members attended
the weekend-long celebration. Each inductee gave an acceptance speech; excerpts from Sara's speech are as follows:

"When I met Reggie White 25 years ago as a friend, I never dreamed that I would be here, let alone make this speech, let alone have the NFL career that we had together as a family. Because just like John Madden said, and Warren Moon, who appreciated his wife so much - it is the backbone of the family that allowed these men to be who they were...
Remember, it's not how you die , it wasn't about Reggie's death- It is about how he lived. I encourage you to live like Reggie lived."
