New Tower on 6th & Tryon Plans Restoration of Historic Carolina Theatre
Innovative developers of the Pursuit Group have unveiled dramatic plans to restore the historic Carolina Theatre to its 1920s style grandeur and build 20 showplace residences with the first car elevators in the U.S.
Encore, a $65 million project on the corner of 6th and Tryon St., offers units from $1.7 million to $5 million with customizable floorplans from 3000 to 7000 square feet. Car elevators will deliver residents and their vehicles directly to their door. By avoiding a parking deck plan, these state-of-the-art elevators played the key role in preserving the theatre.
Unique historic significance and exceptional finishes are the norm for the Pursuit Group and their sought-after projects, which include two restored buildings Uptown: the Home Federal Savings building transformed into luxury condos at The Trust, and the Emerson Joseph salon and building. Encore will likely see the same success.
