June Events Calendar for Charlotte
Saturday June 3 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. – Vintage Charlotte Summer Market
Come out to the sixth annual summer market event and spend the day shopping from more than 80 of the region’s best vintage and handmade vendors. Local businesses like Not Just Coffee, Birdsong Brewing Co., Bleu Barn Bistro, The dumpling lady and King of Pops Charlotte will be there to provide food and drinks throughout the day. Tickets are available at $7 early bird entry at 10 a.m. and $2 general admission from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m.
Saturday June 3 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. – Long Live Arts Festival
The second annual Long Live Arts Festival will be held Saturday, June 3 at the Levine’s Center for the Arts. The event is a unique collaboration between Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American Arts + Culture, the John S. and James L. Knight Theater, and the Mint Museum Uptown. There will be gallery tours, live entertainment, food trucks, and interactive activities and displays. The event is free and open to the public.
Friday June 9 through Sunday June 11 – Taste of Charlotte Festival
Taste of Charlotte is a weekend-long festival that highlights more than 100 samples from restaurants in the Charlotte area. Guests can enjoy the variety of different foods, live music and entertainment, interactive activities for kids, cooking demonstrations and unique street shopping. Admission to the festival is free but guests are able to purchase festival coins to use for the restaurant samples, beverages and kids activities.
Friday June 16 5 at 5 p.m. – Bechtler by Night: Painting with Bob Ross
On the third Friday of each month, Bechtler by Night lets you experience the galleries at Bechtler Museum of Modern Art for free from 5-9 p.m. Friday, June 16 the Bechtler will host a night of entertainment with Painting with Bob Ross. The night’s themed itinerary will include gallery games and scavenger hunts, Bechtler BINGO, featured cocktails and light bites from Modern Café.
Tuesday June 20 – Dine Out for Kids
Join Communities in Schools for the 18th annual Dine Out for Kids and help students in the Charlotte area. Participating restaurants will donate a portion of the day’s sales to Communities in Schools, whose mission is to surround students with a community of support, encouraging them to stay in school and succeed in life.
