Helen Adams Realty Sets Agents Up For Success at Educational Field Trip
This week, Helen Adams Realty’s agents took an educational field trip to a new construction site at SouthPoint at South End Townhomes.
About four times per year, the Brokers in Charge of our three Helen Adams Realty offices take a group of our new Helen Adams agents to a construction site to see how a home or multi-family structure is put together.
Cara Shields, Broker in Charge of the Randolph Road office, said these sessions are meant to assist our agents with understanding construction terminology and can help prepare them for client repair negotiations.
Trey Hopper, the building superintendent, guided the agents through the construction site while explaining the builder’s plans for window design and placement, interior space design, and rooftop amenities.
Mike Thornburg, Broker in Charge of our Lake Norman office, explained the group’s tour of a unit framed with electrical and plumbing roughed in and waiting for sheetrock. He said this helped our agents see firsthand how a residential structure is assembled from the foundation, to framing, to utilities.
The idea is for agents to learn more about the building process while equipping them with the knowledge and guidance that can add value to their future buyers.
“This kind of training sets Helen Adams Realty apart as we set our agents up for success,” said Kerry Price Doub, Broker in Charge of our Ballantyne office, “plus we have fun doing it as you can tell.”
