Best Outdoor Eating Around Charlotte

Temperatures in Charlotte are warming up and to most residents that means one thing – getting outside and enjoying that beautiful weather. One of the best ways to enjoy this nice weather is sitting on a pretty patio outside of a restaurant, eating and drinking with family or friends. It seems like there’s always a new hot spot in Charlotte so we made it easy for you. Here’s a list of some of our favorite outdoor eating spots in and around Charlotte.

1100 Metropolitan Ave. Building E, Suite 100 Charlotte NC 28204

Vivace is an Italian restaurant located in the Metropolitan shopping center of Charlotte. Their lunch, dinner, and brunch menus boast Italian cuisine and Italian twists on American recipes. Scoop Charlotte has even named Vivace one of the best brunch spots in Charlotte. You’ll want to sit upstairs on the patio to get the full experience, though. The Charlotte skyline will be visible at almost all angles while you enjoy your meal.

The Harp & Crown Pub Kitchen

19930 W Catawba Ave. Suite 130 Cornelius NC 28031

The Harp & Crown is a Irish pub and restaurant in the Lake Norman area. The chef has blended traditional Irish recipes with modern flavors to develop a menu that ranges from Irish meatloaf to pot pies to fish and chips to Irish spring rolls. The restaurant’s patio has its own bar and gives guests a true Irish pub feeling!

Sycamore Brewing

2161 Hawkins Street, Charlotte NC 28203

Okay, we know it’s not a typical restaurant – but as far as outdoor seating and entertainment goes, Sycamore Brewery is a crowd favorite in Charlotte. Dog friendly, tons of beers on tap, and a popular spot for food trucks, this place is always busy. If the weather creeps above 60 degrees, get there early because it will be sure to fill up quick.

Brazwell’s Premium Pub Ballantyne

11318 North Community House Road, Charlotte NC 28277

Brazwell’s Premium Pub has two locations in Charlotte – one off Montford Drive and another in Ballantyne. The Ballantyne location is perfect for a sunny afternoon, having a rooftop patio where guests can enjoy food and drinks. There are several TVs to watch sporting games and each table has an umbrella in case you get too hot. Plus – it’s right around the corner from Helen Adams Realty’s Ballantyne office!

Nellie’s Southern Kitchen

36 North Main Street, Belmont NC 28012

Nellie’s opened in the summer of 2016 with quite the hype around it. The restaurant’s inspiration is Nellie Jonas, grandmother of the boy band The Jonas Brothers. With that namesake, it was bound to be a popular spot in Belmont. The restaurant has a second-story roof deck and bar and takeout annex providing a very “industrial-chic” vibe. Comfort food and a rooftop bar sounds like our heaven on a warm day!

Peculiar Rabbit

1212 Pecan Ave., Charlotte NC 28205

The Peculiar Rabbit is an American farm-to-table gastropub in Plaza Midwood. Peculiar Rabbit’s patio has an amazing view of the Charlotte skyline, too. Their website claims that it’s the best view in Charlotte! Try out their detailed menu on the terrace and see the view for yourself.

While these are just a few of the restaurants that provide nice outdoor seating, the list doesn’t end here. Ruru’s Tacos and Tequila on Providence Road has a great patio and Hello, Sailor is a new hot spot right on the water of Lake Norman.
