Celebrating Fourth of July Around Charlotte
Fourth of July is right around the corner. Fill up next week’s social calendar with these celebrations around the Charlotte area. No matter where you live or who you are with, there is the perfect celebration for you.
Queen’s Landing in Mooresville
Queen’s Landing Sightseeing & Dinner Cruises has a full day of fun planned for Fourth of July this year. The event is hosting a clown, balloon artist, jugglers, face painters, and a caricature artist. They will also have a special musical guest, Darrel Harwood, for a free concert lakeside in the Queen’s Landing amphitheater starting at 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. Come out to Queen’s Landing for a lakeside firework viewing with some high energy country music.
Celebrate America Fireworks Show at Carowinds
Spend the Fourth of July at everyone’s favorite amusement park! The fireworks show will illuminate the Carolina skies at the state line. There will also be several attractions open during the celebration including the Thrill Zone (Fury 325, Drop Tower, and Scream Waver). You can download the Carowinds App for more information.
Baxter Village Fourth of July Parade
Baxter Village in Fort Mill is presenting their 14th Annual Fourth of July Parade along Market Street at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday morning. Guests can expect live entertainment, classic cars, and stilt walkers. The parade will boast some of Charlotte’s finest including the Fire Department Honor Guard, Bagpipers, Carolina Panthers’ Percussion Band and Panthers mascot Sir Purr, and more. There should be free parking in Baxter Town Center.
Downtown Fireworks at Mount Holly
Mount Holly is hosting their annual fireworks celebration on the streets of downtown. There will be food trucks, kid zones, live bands. The band “Coming Up Brass” hits the stage at 5:30 p.m. before fireworks show starting at 9 p.m. Visit the event’s Facebook page for more information.
SkyShow Charlotte at BB&T Ballpark
Tickets are currently on sale for SkyShow 2018 in Charlotte. Celebrate the nation’s independence at BB&T Ballpark as the Charlotte Knights take on the Durham Bulls. After the game they will be hosting the largest fireworks show in the Southeast! Tickets are available online.
Fun Family Fourth of July in Matthews
Come decorate bikes, scooters, and wagons, then join the People’s Parade! This non-motorized parade will travel from Matthews Station Street to Stumptown Park. Bring the whole family to this fun, kid friendly holiday celebration. The evening will be end with a concert in the park by The Tim Clark Band.
Fourth of July Celebration at the U.S. National Whitewater Center
This free holiday festival at one of Charlotte’s favorite local venues will take place July 3rd and 4th at the U.S. National Whitewater Center. Celebrate America with local beer, a firework shows and live music by local bands. A detailed schedule for the two-day celebration can be found online.
