Halloween Celebrations in Charlotte
With the start of October, Halloween is now just around the corner. Charlotte and its surrounding areas celebrate the holiday all month long with pumpkin patches, haunted trails, corn mazes, and more. Whether you are looking for a thrilling fright night or simply a fall day out and about, there is sure to be something for you. The Great Pumpkin Fest
September 15-October 28, Carowinds
Any Saturday or Sunday during the month of October, spending a day at Carowinds will be sure to help you get in the Halloween spirit. The park transitions into a family-friendly Halloween experience for the Great Pumpkin Fest with fall-themed attractions, costume parades, mazes, and more.
Rural Hill’s Amazing Maize Maze
September 15-November 4, Historic Rural Hill
This Huntersville corn maze has become a popular staple in the Charlotte area each fall. As one of the largest corn mazes in the Southeast, the 3-mile trail is a great source of fun for groups of friends or family. September 21-October 28, Carowinds
While the Great Pumpkin Fest is the perfect family-friendly event, Carowinds also transitions from a theme park to a scream park at night throughout October for its more mature guests. Experience the thrills of your favorite rides with the chills of haunted attractions, performers, and shows.
October 6, US National Whitewater Center
Kick off the start of October at the Fall Festival at the Whitewater Center. The event will include cider sampling, live music, trail races, yoga sessions, and much more! Spend the day enjoying the start of fall and all that the US National Whitewater Center has to offer.
October 19, Chestnut Square Park

October 27, NASCAR Hall of Fame
The NASCAR Hall of Fame will transform into the Not-Too-Spooky Haunted Hall for Halloween weekend. There will be trick-or-treating, a pumpkin patch, games with prizes, and more! October 31, Downtown Concord
The City of Concord and Concord Downtown Development Corporation will host the perfect trick-or-treating event on Union Street of Downtown Concord.
