SouthPark’s Winter Wonderland

SouthPark Mall’s annual open-air ice skating rink is the ultimate spot for Instagram-worthy photo ops, holiday date nights, and a family-friendly destination. This year’s Winter Wonderland ice skating rink is 40 percent larger than its previous years and features fun holiday activities for people of all ages. The holiday venue has holiday lights and decor, Santa’s Pub, a daily afternoon snowfall, and much more.


Meet and Greet Santa at Tinsel Town

Gingerbread Lane

The Ballantyne Hotel is hosting Gingerbread Lane, an enchanting display of gingerbread creations throughout the month of December. Visit the hotel and vote for your favorite entries with a $1 minimum donation to Levine Children’s Hospital and A Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.


Kwanzaa Charlotte

Kwanzaa Charlotte is an annual citywide celebration to educate and inspire individuals in the Charlotte area. The seven day event builds community through identifying with African culture and family-oriented traditions at the heart of Kwanzaa. Each day will focus on a different teaching including unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith.


Sea of Lights

The Sea Life Charlotte-Concord Aquarium is hosting their own Sea of Lights to celebrate the holidays this December. The aquarium will be lit with holiday spirit as guests experience thousands of Christmas lights as they sparkle across every fish.
