Thursday May 23-Saturday May 25 in Uptown
Kicking off summer and the NASCAR Coca Cola 600 weekend, Speed Street is a street festival throughout Uptown Charlotte. Expect roadblocks for concerts, food vendors, autograph signings with NASCAR drivers, and more on the streets of Uptown. The Mint Hill Madness festival returns Memorial Day Weekend, celebrating the founding of the town of Mint Hill. Memorial Day Oyster Roast
Saturday, May 25 at NoDa Company Store
Memorial Day Weekend at NoDa Company Store will include an oyster roast with oysters, served raw or grilled. Tobacco Road Revival Band will perform at the day’s event, bringing some bluegrass to the party. Event schedule and details can be found online.
Sunday, May 26 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
Rev up your Memorial Day Weekend at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and witness the 60th running of the Coca-Cola 600, part of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. This is the longest race in NASCAR, at a record-breaking 600 miles. Tickets include fan friendly entertainment before the race, a salute to our military, and songs dedicated to America.
Memorial Day Celebration
Sunday, May 26 at the U.S. National Whitewater Center
Celebrate the holiday weekend with day-long events and festivities at the Whitewater Center. The Memorial Day Trail Race kicks off the day at 9:30 a.m. followed by yoga, live music, and fireworks to end the night. The full schedule can be found online.

Celebrate America at Carowinds this Memorial Day and honor those who are actively and have previously served for our country. A full day of thrilling rides and water slides are waiting for you at Carowinds’ Military Days. All service members and their families will have free entry and other discounts at the park throughout Sunday and Monday.
Kannapolis Memorial Day Parade
Monday, May 27 at 11:30 a.m. at Veterans Park
Join the community of Kannapolis at the Memorial Day Parade, celebrating those who have and are serving our country. The parade begins at the intersection of Laureate Way and Main Street and concludes at Veterans Park on Main Street. A ceremony will follow in the park with special guests.
