Outdoor Living, Drinking, and Entertaining in Charlotte

The Charlotte area is filled with places to live, work, and play while enjoying the beautiful outdoors. With three lakes, countless greenways, and that perfect Carolina weather, neighbors in the Queen City have an abundance of options for outdoor dining in their backyard. Here are a few of our go-to spots for enjoying the outdoors this year.

RuRus Tacos and Tequila

715 Providence Rd, Charlotte NC 28207

Ruru’s Tacos and Tequila is a lively mexican restaurant and outdoor bar offering tacos with a twist and clever cocktails. The patio at Ruru’s stays bustling when the warm weather arrives in Charlotte and even during the colder months with their outdoor heaters.

Graham Street Pub & Patio

400 S Graham Street, Charlotte NC 28202

Graham Street Pub & Patio offers skyline views and an eclectic menu of handcrafted cocktails and bites. Just blocks from Bank of America Stadium and almost adjacent to the Knights’ BB&T Ballpark, Graham Street Pub is the perfect game day spot overlooking the Queen City skyline before or after the game.

Hello, Sailor

20210 Henderson Rd, Cornelius NC 28031

Hello, Sailor is a waterfront Lake Norman restaurant with outdoor seating and tiki bar just steps away from the shoreline. The southern fish and fried menu is almost as popular as their Instagram-worthy interior decor.

Papa Doc’s Shore Club

3990 Charlotte Hwy, Lake Wylie, SC 29710

Formerly T-Bones on The Lake, the coming-soon Papa Doc’s Shore Club will be host to waterfront indoor and outdoor dining. The menu features creative seafood dishes like tequila bacon mussels as well as the standard fish and chips plus tacos, quesadillas, and chef specialties.

The Waterman

2729 South Blvd, suite d, Charlotte NC 28209

New to South End, The Waterman is a seafood joint and raw bar with indoor and outdoor seating areas. Oysters, seafood, craft cocktails, and other pub-style food is on the menu at this casual restaurant. Don’t forget to check out the Uptown views from the rooftop bar!
