Taste of Charlotte

June 7-9

Taste of Charlotte’s three day festival will feature over 100 samples from Queen City restaurants along with live music and entertainment, children’s activities, cooking classes, and a variety of shopping. Admission to the festival is free and festival coins are available for purchase throughout the weekend.

 

The Music of Queen

Saturday, June 8 at 7:30 p.m. at the Belk Theater

The Charlotte Symphony will honor Freddie Mercury and company at this amped up night of rock. Sing along with the band’s hits including Bohemian Rhapsody, We Are the Champions, and Somebody to Love. Tickets are available online.

 

Duke Energy Hosts The Charlotte Symphony

Friday, June 14 at 8:15 p.m. at the McGuire Nuclear Station

Catawba River Races

Saturday June 15

The second annual Catawba River Races features races in different categories and crafts. Choose between an open water swim, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard event at the U.S. National Whitewater Center. Start times vary and registration information can be found online. Awards will be given to the top three male and female participating in each division.

 

Lobster and Beer Fest

Saturday and Sunday, June 15-16

Enjoy the weather at Sycamore Brewing with their Lobster and Beer Festival. The brewery will play host all weekend to live music and tasty Sycamore Brewing beer and Wild Blossom Cider. Lobster rolls will be served from Cousins Maine Lobster, Baltimore Crab Cake Company Charlotte, the Feathered Fin and more!

 

Charlotte Caribbean Carnival

Saturday, June 22 – Sunday, June 30

Charlotte Caribbean Carnival is a week-long celebration of the Caribbean Culture. There will be local artists, drummers, steel pan players, and more at the festivities. Guests will appreciate the Carnival inspired costumes, entertainment, and visual arts. More information can be found online.
