Celebrating Fourth of July Around Charlotte

Fireworks at Lowes YMCA

Wednesday, July 3 from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Together with the Town of Mooresville, Lowe’s YMCA’s July 3rd Summer Celebration is a Lake Norman staple. Party-goers will enjoy fellowship, local entertainment and food, kid-friendly activities, and of course, fireworks to end the night. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket and chairs, and arrive early. Event proceeds benefit the YMCA Annual Campaign.

 

Summer Pops Celebrate America at Symphony Park

Wednesday, July 3 at 8:15 p.m.

Join your Charlotte Symphony for an Independence Day salute to America with a night of patriotic favorites including Sousa marches, America the Beautiful, and the Armed Forces Medley – all topped off by a celebratory fireworks finale! Learn more about the Summer Pops series at Symphony Park online.

 

WBT’s SkyShow Charlotte 2019

Thursday, July 4 at BB&T Ballpark

Charlotte’s biggest fireworks display, SkyShow, will take place at BB&T Ballpark while the Charlotte Knights play against the Norfolk Tides. If you don’t have tickets to the ballgame, watch the fireworks show at Romare Bearden Park or on the nearby streets. Before the game, there will be a street festival located on Mint Street throughout Uptown.

 

Carowinds Celebrate America Fireworks Show

Thursday & Friday, July 4-5 at Carowinds

Celebrate Independence Day at Carowinds with thrilling roller coaster rides, wet and wild waves at Carolina Harbor, kid-friendly activities at Camp Snoopy and so much more. Both evenings, stay for the Celebrate America Fireworks Show and watch the sky light up across the state line.

 

4th of July People’s Parade and Concert in Matthews

Thursday, July 4

The Town of Matthews is planning a Fourth of July party and parade! The festivities will start with the People’s Parade, a non-motorized, non-commercial parade from Matthews Station Street, in front of Town Hall, to Stumptown Park. Families and friends are encouraged to come decorate their bikes, scooters, and wagons and join in the day’s parade. The evening will end with a concert in the park.

 

 

Fourth of July Celebration at Whitewater Center

Wednesday & Thursday, July 3-4, U.S. National Whitewater Center

A local favorite, this two-day Fourth of July Celebration is back for its ninth year providing plenty of opportunities to get outside for the holiday. The events will feature live music, yoga classes, two days of exciting fireworks, and more! The Fourth of July Celebration is free to attend, open to the public, and does not require tickets.
