Classic Blue: Pantone’s 2020 Color of the Year

2019 is almost behind us, meaning the new year’s predictions are on the horizon. We’ve been researching the upcoming home design trends and now have one more expectation to add to the list. In the home design world, the new year can’t come without the Pantone Color of the Year announcement. The leading paint expert, Pantone, has released their expectations for 2020 to be the color Classic Blue.

 

Classic Blue is meant to express calmness, confidence, and connection according to Pantone’s announcement. This enduring blue hue highlights the company’s desire for a dependable and stable foundation on which to build as we cross the threshold into a new era.

 

Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, explained that the consistency and confidence shown by Pantone 19-4052 Classic Blue proves the color to be a solid dependable hue that we can rely on when it comes to home design.
