The National Kidney Foundation of North Carolina

Donations of used clothing and household items can be turned into valuable funding for health screenings, kidney disease education, research, patient advocacy, and much more.  NKS welcomes a wide variety of donations, so it’s easy to find clothes and other items to donate  the next time you move. Salvation Army

Operates retail thrift stores accepting home and clothing donations. Proceeds from stores benefit The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center (132-bed free residential facility) for chemically addicted men. Schedule a pickup from your home or find drop off at a location near you by visiting www.satruck.org. Special Donations for the Salvation Army Center of Hope Shelter (280-bed homeless shelter for women and children) include: diapers, feminine products, toiletries, towels and washcloths and bed linens.
