Throughout February
Charlotte Mecklenburg Library has several events planned to celebrate and explore Black History Month throughout the month of February. The events are geared toward different age groups and include film, stories, history talks, and more. Reference the library’s online calendar for all events and registration details. The Frigid Trail Race & Plunge (U.S. National Whitewater Center)
February 6
Brave the cold at the Whitewater Center on February 6th and pick from the 5k and 10k trail race options. The race is followed by a plunge into the Deep Water Solo pool. Make sure to register prior to race day. All race details and registration information can be found here.
Chocolate Festival (Epiphany Lutheran Church, Rock Hill)

Ballantyne Ball (The Ballantyne Hotel)

Cupid’s Undie Run (The Union)
February 12
Every February, thousands of undie runners in cities all across the U.S. come together, to support those affected by NF (neurofibromatosis), a genetic disorder that causes tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body and affects 1 in every 3,000 births. Cupid’s Undie Run kicks off with drinking and dancing, then jog it out with a mile(ish) run and end it all with an epic dance party! Click here to register and for more information.
The Green Gala (ASC Greenway, Dairy Barn)

The Greenway Ladies Guild is bringing back its signature fundraising event benefiting the Leroy Springs & Co. Bridge Program, which provides recreation and education scholarships for children and families in the community.
