For the most part, mortgage rates are holding steady after the Fed’s quarter point hike this month. There is a sentiment that we may have reached the peak for rates, but the Fed has made it clear that they will continue to monitor inflation and adjust accordingly if things don’t improve in that department. We may be nearing the light at the end of the tunnel, but we also should not be surprised if interest rates don’t start to come down as quickly as we would like to see.
