The Great Pumpkin Fest

Celebrate the fall season at this year’s Great Pumpkin Fest at Carowinds throughout the month of October. There will be games, activities, and other family-friendly events. 16th Annual Blues & Jazz Festival
October 1-3
Celebrate the roots of modern music with impressive performances at the Arts Council of York County’s 16th Annual Blues & Jazz Festival. This year’s event will be free and virtual so everyone has a front row seat! Check out the York County website for more details on how to listen, where to watch, and when to participate.
Pumking Fest 2020
Saturday October 3
Pumking Fest is back on Saturday, October 3 at Brewers at 4001 Yancey! While things may look a little different this year, there is still a lot to celebrate this Halloween season. The event will have the entire Pumking family of brews available plus a new Pumking Whiskey. There will also be live music, specialty cocktails, Pumpking milkshakes and slushies, plus an exclusive draft beer for guests to enjoy!
Fall Plant Sale at Wing Haven
October 13-17
Don't miss the bi-annual plant sale featuring Wing Haven's plant favorites. A limited amount of guests will be able to shop plants via scheduled 50-minute time slots with an additional Members Only Day. Check their website for details on times and dates and what to expect at the sale.
CLT Wine & Food Week 2020
Friday and Saturday October 16-17
Charlotte Wine & Food Week brings together leading winemakers and chefs from around the world to celebrate and improve public knowledge of and appreciation for great wine and food. The event will also be making significant contributions to charitable organizations that benefit children and their families in the Charlotte community. Biketoberfest 2020
Saturday and Sunday October 24-25
With a few fun tweaks and twists to make it happen safely, Biketoberfest will be happening in 2020! During the weekend of October 24-25, Sustain Charlotte will provide multiple routes for a "Choose Your Own Adventure" themed event. There will be several routes in different areas of Charlotte for you to explore. There will be no starting location, event passports, or after party this year to prevent large gatherings. They will still partner with local businesses to support our Charlotte community. Don’t miss the scavenger hunt with a chance to win raffle prizes! Running Scared 5 Miler & Monster Mile

The physical 5th Annual Running Scared 5 Miler & Monster Mile was set to take place on October 31st. Now you can run either a 5 Miler or Monster Mile on your own at any time on Halloween Weekend! This family fun event encourages participants to have fun, be creative, and dress up in costumes. Information on packet pick up and participation can be found online.
