Celebrating National Wine and Cheese Day in Charlotte

National Wine and Cheese Day is celebrated on July 25 and in honor of the day’s festivities, the staff at Helen Adams Realty has compiled a list of their go-to wine bars and cheese shops in the Charlotte area. Thursday’s holiday will celebrate the art of pairing the perfect wine and cheese. Check out some of these restaurants to escape Charlotte for a moment and live like you are in Europe, New Zealand, or the California wine country.

Foxcroft Wine Co.

With a third Charlotte location coming soon, Foxcroft Wine has the perfect local atmosphere for National Wine and Cheese Day. The wine venue’s goal is to combine the convenience of a retail wine shop with a farm-scratch kitchen and the city’s best and most eclectic selection of wines by the glass. Share small plates, a bottle of wine, and good company.

Mere’s

Mere’s wine and cheese boutique style atmosphere is filled with European-style fromageries, plates of cheese and charcuterie, and excellent wine and craft brew pairings. Join Mere’s wine or cheese memberships to learn more about pairings, styles, and originations of wine.

Craft Tasting Room and Growler Shop

Although Craft is a beer bar and garden, don’t count it out for National Wine and Cheese Day. The menu focus is on craft beer, but also offers selections of artisanal regional cheeses and charcuterie worth checking out.

Dilworth Tasting Room

Located in the heart of Dilworth, this circa-1940's style building creates an atmosphere reminiscent of the wine bars of Europe. Sit outside and enjoy a private patio, self-proclaimed to be Charlotte's premier secret garden, while perusing the wine list focused on low-production, high-quality wines.

Corkscrew

Corkscrew Wine Pub has been the destination for great wine and a casual atmosphere for Charlotte and Lake Norman residents for more than a decade. The cozy and casual decor offers the perfect atmosphere to relax, uncork, unwine.

Napa on Providence

The Napa philosophy is a commitment to fresh ingredients, a vineyard inspired atmosphere, and comfortable and approachable food and drink options. Sign up for their email list for regular promotions like the Rosé Summer where for a limited time, you can enjoy a complimentary selection of charcuterie when you purchase a bottle or full carafe of rosé.

Barcelona Wine Bar

Relatively new to Charlotte, Barcelona Wine Bar has quickly become a popular wine and cheese spot in SouthEnd. Inspired by Mediterranean, Spanish, and South American influences, there are nearly 400 wines and dozens of combinations of cheese, charcuterie, and other small plates on Barcelona’s menu.

Bond Street

Bond Street Wines was established out of a love of wine and a desire to bridge the gap between wine producers and wine drinkers. Sourcing wine from the top growers in France, Italy, Spain and the New World, Bond Street Wines is a must on National Wine and Cheese Day.

Reids
