The 4th of July is almost here, and Charlotte and the surrounding areas are gearing up for a star-spangled celebration! Whether you crave fireworks, parades, live music, or a family fun day, we have an activity for you to enjoy.
 

Fireworks Extravaganzas
  • Carowinds (Charlotte): Celebrate America with a 2-day fireworks extravaganza (July 3-5) at Carowinds! Enjoy thrilling rides, live music, and a dazzling display set to a patriotic soundtrack.
  • Charlotte Knights Baseball Game (Charlotte): Catch the Knights baseball game at Truist Field on July 4th, followed by a post-game fireworks show. If you want to skip the game, you can view the fireworks for free from Romare Bearden Park.
  • Red, White, & Belmont (Belmont, NC): Get ready to paint the town with patriotic hues at the Red, White, & Belmont celebration! Enjoy live music and fireworks under the stars from 6-10pm. 
     
Festive Fun for All Ages
  • July 4th Celebration (Harrisburg): Celebrate the nation's birthday with two days of fun, presented by the Town of Harrisburg. There will be food, live music, fireworks, and 27 activities for kids of all ages to enjoy!
  • All-American Celebration (Tega Cay): Head to the lake to celebrate the Fourth by the water! Enjoy a land parade, boat parade, a thrilling Carolina Show Ski Performance, and live music throughout the long weekend (July 4-6).
  • Birkdale Village 4th of July Celebration (Huntersville): Birkdale Village is back with its annual celebration. This family-friendly event features bike decorating, a bike parade, and a lively block party.
  • Independence Day Celebration at the Charlotte Museum of History (Charlotte): Witness a special U.S. Oath and Naturalization Ceremony at the Charlotte Museum of History, a perfect way to reflect on the meaning of Independence Day. 
  • Independence Day Celebration (Matthews): Find food trucks, kids' activities, and patriotic fun at the Town of Matthews' Independence Day Celebration (July 3-4). Seaboard Brewing will be on-site, and entertainment will be provided with live music.
  • July 4th Parade (Indian Trail): Enjoy floats, festive walkers, and more at Indian Trail's annual July 4th Parade! The procession starts at 11:30am, moving from Post Office Drive down Indian Trail Road to Old Monroe Road. 
     
Brews, BBQs, and Beyond
  • U.S. National Whitewater Center (Charlotte): This free event (July 3-4) offers live music alongside their famous whitewater activities.
  • Charlotte Symphony Orchestra (Cornelius): Celebrate the holiday a little early (June 30) with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra. Enjoy a "Celebrate America!" concert and a fireworks finale presented at Bailey Road Park. 
  • Red, White, and Brew Weekend (Charlotte): Celebrate with local craft beers at Brewers at 4001 Yancey (July 4-7). Red, White, and Brewfest will be held July 5th, featuring axe throwing, live music, and outdoor games!
  • Independence Day Celebration (Fort Mill): Head to the Fort Mill Amphitheater at Walter Elisha Park on July 3rd for a day packed with fun! Music, vendors, food trucks, a special ceremony, and fireworks.
