Niche.com named Charlotte as one of the best cities for millennials to live in. The Queen City came in at no. 18 on the list and Third Ward was named as the best neighborhood in Charlotte for millennials. Charlotte ranked highly on the list after things like bars, accessibility to coffee shops and restaurants, education, cost of living and diversity were taken into consideration.

Rebecca Adams, weighed in on Charlotte’s continued popularity.
“Charlotte has many different pockets and neighborhoods which appeal to every kind of person living here,” Adams said. “Millennials, young families, retirees - you name it - they can find something and somewhere that appeals to them here. While these areas differ, they are also very close together, allowing residents to experience multiple different cultures, restaurants, and lifestyles in a single day.”
With
new restaurants and breweries opening constantly, a local professional sports team for every season, and a regular schedule of music and entertainment around the city, Charlotte’s notoriety continues to grow. United Van Lines, the biggest moving company in the country, recently ranked Charlotte as
a top ten most moved-to city in America for 2017.
“Charlotte is big enough to draw award winning restaurants, headline performers, and Fortune 500 companies but small enough that you can enjoy all the perks of living here without having to stray too far from the place you call home,” Adams explained.
As Charlotte continues to grow, it is becoming a serious hub for millennials and movers in general. The booming economy and overabundance of entertainment options is the perfect combination to create a metropolitan area worth planting your roots.
