Queen’s Feast: Charlotte Restaurant Week returns this Friday with more than 140 restaurants in 10 countries across the greater Charlotte area. The bi-annual dining experience offers three-course, prix fixe dinners for just $30 or $35 per person.

Participating restaurants in Queen’s Feast stretch throughout the Charlotte area from upstate South Carolina to the northern points of Lake Norman and everywhere in between. As you prepare your list of spots that you want to try this month, we spoke to some of our agents across our four offices about their personal favorites on this year’s list. With our office footprint spread across the Charlotte-metro area, we are familiar with all parts of town.

“My husband and I have gone to Oak Steakhouse for Restaurant Week in the past,” says Sydney Alexander out of the Randolph Road office. “The deal was unbelievable for what it normally costs. We can't wait to try a new Charlotte restaurant this year!”

Julie Will, who works at our Fort Mill office, compliments the atmosphere at The Pump House in Rock Hill. Will says that being along the river makes The Pump House a fun and unique location for a date night with a wonderful wine selection.

Charlotte Restaurant Week offers an opportunity for residents and neighbors to head out to restaurants that they typically wouldn’t, support the area’s ever-growing restaurant scene, and stimulate the local economy. While living and working in Charlotte, our agents see the city’s growth first-hand including the surge in the list of must-try restaurants around town.

“Cajun Queen is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in all of Charlotte,” says Michael Lasek, out of our Randolph Road office. “They have the best shrimp and grits on the planet! The entire menu is sensational so you can't go wrong. The atmosphere, the food and cocktails will make you feel as if you're in the Bayou. Plus, they have live jazz music every night in the upstairs dining room, which makes the experience even better.”

The participating restaurants each offer their own unique aesthetic and design, area of town serviced, and style of menu provided. One of the reasons so many people enjoy Queen’s Feast is because of this opportunity to experience something new easily.

Carolina Prime is a must on Jinnie Forsythe Brown’s list of restaurants to try, calling it a “hidden gem.” She says it's like having the best home-cooked meal in a family atmosphere, similar to something your mom would make. She also praises the servicice, saying they always treat their guests like family.

Chris Bucey, at our Lake Norman office and a self-proclaimed “foodie”, loves that Charlotte has become such a food-driven city over the last few years, with great restaurants opening regularly. Some of his favorites on this year’s list include Napa on Providence, located in Eastover/Myers Park; The Dunavant in SouthEnd; and Epic Chophouse and Alton’s located in the Lake Norman area.
